Postpone nursery start date?

I'm due to take my son for his taster sessions this week and I am now doubting wether or not to postpone them for the time being? I haven't signed the contract yet as would be doing that when I go for his first session. Am I being silly to wait a while?

You r not silly and I would postpone..schools are closing from friday and private schools and nurseries are advised to do the same

I'm currently debating pulling mine from nursery given they're almost certainly about to close and we're self isolating anyway (was planning on moving him over the summer)

Given the current situation I wouldn't go (I'd actually be surprised if they didn't cancel first).

Surely the nursery is closing?

I thought they would as well but apparently not as yet!

I'm starting to think about what I'm going to do with DD. She is due to start settling in sessions with childminder in the middle of May. I don't go back to work until the end of June but wanted to have her settled there way before then and give myself some personal time seeing as I missed the beginning of my maternity leave by her showing up 3 weeks early (the day after I went on leave).

I too haven't signed a contract yet and our childminder is saying she's staying open unless she or close family have symptoms.

I’d delay as long as possible, she won’t be settled if you have a few sessions and they then close for weeks.
