Reusable nappies

Hello!
Our baby is due any day now and as we do not know the size of our baby, we have purchased a few size 1 packs and a few size 2 packs in hope that once we know what we need we will purchase some more. Unfortunately with the whole Coronavirus situation I'm aware that it may actually prove difficult to purchase nappies as everyone is stock piling. I've decided that it may actually be better to purchase reusable/washable nappies however have no idea about any of this - what to look for, brands, do we use disposable liners etc? Any advise would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you 😊

Have a look at these websites:
The nappy guru
The nappy lady

Nappy guru also has some good how to videos.

Also baba and boo do a really good blog on different aspects.

I've been watching a few of this you tubers videos. Still using disposables but keen to switch.

We use cheeky wipes though and would highly recommend them.

I just joined the Facebook groups.

So search for cloth nappy resale groups.
Clean cloth nappy's.

I couldn't actually tell you what brands mine are or what type they fall under. I bought them second hand and they've been brilliant. You can ask questions on this group and find out more information easily.

Thank you all so much, I will have a look now

Also lots of the websites do 10% off first orders so don't buy anything until you've figured it all out!

Totsbots have a trial kit that when you go on their website has one price but when you order them it gives you a code to get it half price.

Definitely go reusable. Little lambs are pretty good, they need a cover over so whether you want to put more effort in or not either get a ready to use petit lulu cover or a wool cover that would need lanolising too.
Terrys are good as they're versatile sizing, again they need a cover.
Birth to potty ones are brilliant in the long run, but depending on size of baby you probably won't get into them for around a month.
Bambino solo mio are good, I've found their prefolds good as a booster for overnight.
If you're considering reusable wipes just cut up an old towel or t shirt, hemming can be done by either a sewing machine or hand (there are videos to show you).
The nappy lady is a useful page if you know what you want but I didn't find their questionnaire brilliant, and their Facebook page is very anti other pages even if the other pages aren't actually selling nappies. Clean cloth nappies is a good page to look at for cleaning advice specific to your machine, area, and nappies.
