Whenever I breastfeed, I usually keep the baby on a pillow as it helps me to align baby with breasts.
However today as I was done breastfeeding, and with pillow still slightly titled against ground, I removed hand from around baby's neck thinking my hubby has his. But since his hand wasn't supporting babies head, babies head kind

Kind of went down , kind of like rolled down , we got anxious and held his head carefully again.
Now he's sleeping. I hope we didn't accidentally cause him hurt or damage.

Think of the twists and turns a baby’s head and neck goes through simply by going through the birth canal, or being lifted out by the head during a c section.

He’ll be absolutely fine

Another vote for your baby will be fine

Mumsnet: By Parents, for Parents. (Or whatever it actually says.)

Because no one is ever allowed to be worried about a new baby and ask for advice or reassurance, right SkaLaLand? Because all new parents have trained extensively, been assessed on their skills, received qualifications, and have Zero concern about their ability to be perfect and know everything.

Would have been so much better if you’d followed up with something helpful or reassuring.

OP, it’s normal. Keep an eye out if you must, but it’s normal. Babies are pretty much made of rubber.

Double3xposure · 11/03/2020 18:27

He will be ok. Remember he was very squashed up when he was inside you.

Fanthorpe · 11/03/2020 18:36

He’ll be fine, you sound like a very caring mum. If he was in any discomfort he wouldn’t have settled.

AnyFucker · 11/03/2020 18:39

Baby will be fine. Try not to worry. If he sleeps, settles and feeds well put it out of your mind. We have all done similar (and worse).

Can't work out what your husband was doing.
