Highchairs- Stokke Clikk or Cossato noodle- or something else?

Just wondering whether anyone uses either of these and would recommend them? Or anything else?
My key things are for it to be easy to clean, easy to get baby in & out, and to look nice in the home.

Ikea highchair

It's comfortable, can go in dishwasher and will do from just sitting (with cushion), safe with straps and many cafes have it so your child will be used to it when you go out.

Also costs about £15

Definitely Ikea. Antelop, I think it’s called. No folds or creases to trap food, tray can go in the dishwasher and takes thirty seconds to put together/take apart if you don’t want to leave it up. Also child can’t flip the tray and launch their dinner.

ThePurpleMoose · 11/03/2020 08:46

Second the PP suggesting IKEA. It's not exactly a looker but I like the apple/polkadot print on the cushion insert cover we have, and as PP says, they're everywhere when you go out and about.

Ikea- I’m currently weaning my third child and used many high chairs in different places over the years and it is by far the best. We have the nice little insert that goes with it aswell

Ifeel1000yearsold · 11/03/2020 08:47

Another one for ikea. I used to have a fancier one but Ikea one is easy to clean, easy to use and transportable too.

Bubblesbubblesmybubbles · 11/03/2020 08:48

We started with the ikea antilop and now use a tripp trapp. Both great in their own ways

HarrietM87 · 11/03/2020 08:51

Get the ikea antilop. Seriously. It’s so cheap and so good! You will be cleaning it minimum 3 times a day for the next 2+ years - trust me you want something where that is easy!

Bol87 · 11/03/2020 08:55

Ikea Grin I think they look alright, nicer than the padded ones anyway! Really easy to clean too..

Stokke Tripp Traps are really nice but cost the earth. Got one second hand for DD when she was two as they are so handy for sitting them comfortably at the right height at the table!

5zeds · 11/03/2020 08:56

Yup. The Ikea one, fits in the boot, washes easily, costs pennies....

Candleford · 11/03/2020 09:00

Ikea antelop here too. Easy to clean, light and still in good shape after 2 insanely messy babies, tray goes in a dishwasher if you have one. I would spend the money elsewhere because this does everything you want from a highchair imo.

BikeRunSki · 11/03/2020 09:03

Yep. Ikea Antilop. Cheap as chips, dies exactly what a high chair should, far easier to clean and use than the £200 monstrosity I started with from M&P.

cheesegrate · 11/03/2020 09:03

I had the cosatto noodle with my first. It looked pretty but it was filthy because I could never clean in the creases etc. Got the ikea one for my second and it's great! Easily cleanable, can go in the dishwasher, simple design.

QforCucumber · 11/03/2020 09:06

We had a mams and Papas one which looked the same as the cosatto, returned it as after about 10 days the cushions tore and fabric had all split where it was cleaned so much. Got the ikea one, was brilliant. Pregnant with DS2 now and will be buying again.

SinkGirl · 11/03/2020 09:15

Definitely Ikea. We had two for the twins and we still have them in the loft - they are 3 and we still get them down for haircuts etc.

There is a new Ikea design too, like a plastic Stokke Tripp trapp with a removable baby insert.

For me I’d either get an Ikea one or a second hand Stokke Tripp Trapp. None of the others are anywhere near as convenient.

Pinkflipflop85 · 11/03/2020 09:22

Another vote for the ikea antilop. It is particularly great if you are doing any baby led weaning as it is so easy to clean!

2beautifulbabs · 11/03/2020 09:40

One bit of advice I would give is don't waste your money on expensive high chairs I spent £60 on my DS high chair my DD used it for when she was 6 months for her weaning and as soon as she was 11 months got rid of it and now use the chairs you can attach to your own dinning chair, it was a massive pain having it about and cleaning also I would go with what a pp suggested ikea high chair I wish we had got one instead easier to clean and just as good

mynameiscalypso · 11/03/2020 09:44

Another vote for the Ikea one. So convenient and being able to just hose it down is a godsend.even without the cushion, DS is happy to sit in it for ages and it's so easy to move around.

Ribeebie · 11/03/2020 09:45

Yep definitely Ikea

Burgerandchipvan · 11/03/2020 10:04

Definitely IKEA - it's brilliant.

If we'd had the money/space I would have been tempted by the Stokke Tripp Trapp as we've used them in airbnbs and they are fantastic but pricey.

SRK16 · 11/03/2020 15:15

Ok, I’m convinced, ikea it is!

@TinkerPony the antilop is the one all the posters on this thread are referring to. It’s amazing.
