"Art on the Move" - car seat art/table thing - anyone have one?

This

Does any one use one of these or similar in their car?

DD is 2.5yo and we reasonably often have longish drives in the car. We are also off to France in 3 weeks with a long journey down to Dover, and then an hour or so the other side.

She is in a Britax Duo car seat and I wondered whether she'd be able to sue on of these okay - reach and all that.

They have one for £7.50 in the book people type thing at work this week - have to order by Wednesday I think.

Any thoughts?

hi

we bought one of these from argos for DH's little sister when she was about 5 her mum said it was great.

just having a look in catalogue for link for you

might have been index?

I don't think she'd be able to reach it, Hulababy. It looks like it relies on the child being strapped in by a normal seat belt which allows them to lean forward. I don't think DS2 (3) would have been able to reach it from his old carseat.

Looks really good but she'll drop them all over the place and you'll end up with a twisted neck and shoulder!!
Have you tried a fixed table for the car seat that Halfords are bound to sell or an in-car DVD?? Toys r us do fab ones that I wouldn't be without for our drives down to France!!(Says the mother who vowed not to let our children have one....)

Our dd's couldn't reach them Soupy

Just though - does she like etch-a-sketching?? you can get travel ones of these.....

We were always snotty about in-car DVD's until we got stuck on the M25 for an hour...now we think they are a necessity for long journeys - what a brilliant idea

TBH, hulababy, dd1 has always loved drawing and often drew pix while in her car seat at that age - she just had a big notepad and a little bag of pens and it worked well - some dropping but not too bad.

Hulababy · 04/10/2004 14:25

Not sure if there is a car table for the Duo Oh well, if she can't reach it - no good - think again!

She has a mini etch a sketch thing and a clip board which she could use for colouring instead.

France trip not too bad for dropping things as FIL has borrowed a people carrier thing for us to all go in and they'll be 2 other adults in the back each trip.

Now an in-car DVD would be fab wouldn't it. But not sure I am ready to fork out that kind of money just yet.

Hula they may be cheaper than you think - we got ours for about £100 which in an emergency like yours was money well spent!!
Are you going at half term at all? If not I am happy to lend you ours if you are anywhere near us. Unfortunately we'll be using it ourselves as we're going to Eurodisney (yippee!!) and hope that our two will be glued to Toy Story or something equally as educational .
