Sorry about the picture and I hope everyone has had their dinner but it was easier than explaining 😄

Ds had first injections and R.Virus drops on Thursday, he was a bit unsettled Thurs Fri and Sat but really hasn't been himself since Sun, was previously sleeping through until 6 or 7 but now awake at 1:30am then again at 5am and waking from his naps crying.

He has also been just randomly crying out through the day for no apparent reason. So initially I thought maybe a growth spurt coinciding with the injections but after tonights stringy mucusy nappy im not sure...

So anyway, I thought I would check in with you ladies, anyone experienced anything similar?

Not the poop, DDs was more weirdly green, so different in a different way.

Her sleep was massively disrupted too, I think it was because her legs were really sore where the needles went in.

Don’t panic if you feel a small hard lump at the injection sites in a couple of days either, I did but it’s a normal quite common thing.

Thanks @MrsWolf2 I found on google now that the Rotavirus is the one that causes problems with the tummy etc so I think after this I will decline the next dose of it. Hopefully it all settles soon. 🙂

@Candystar18 don't decline the next dose! The rotavirus vaccine protects your baby from serious stomach upsets that could have significant consequences on your child's health!! The poo looks pretty normal to me, likely your baby is getting a cold, the unsettled days will probably be from the meningitis vaccine, not the Rv. PLEASE vaccinate as recommended - you're putting lots of people at risk if you don't, not just your own child.

Also, your baby will likely be unsettled because there's a huge developmental leap at 8 weeks - get the wonder weeks app, really helpful.

Don't decline vaccines because they upset your babies tummy a bit!

Having had rotavirus myself and seen how DD's case was sooooooo mild compared to mine (she vomited once and then was right as rain - I was vomiting every 15 minutes for 6 hours and bed-bound for 3 days) I strongly suggest you don't decline the rotavirus vaccine next time. It's a horrible illness.

Please don't decline the vaccine. My niece want vaccinated as they didn't Ofer it when she was that age. Rotavirus nearly killed her. She was fine during the day just a spot of diarrhoea but that night slipped into a hypoglycaemic coma. It took a lot of work to bring her round in A and E - she was in hospital for a week. The Drs told us it was a very close call.
