Toys/food to take on holiday for 9mo

Hello,

Am going on holiday next week with a 3 hour flight. Has anyone got any tips of good toys to take for the aeroplane/hotel room etc?

Also does anyone have any experience of what food to take? We are AI but my baby isn't great at hard/crunchy food yet and sometimes has the stage 3 pouches or food mashed with a fork. Will I need to take pouches? How have other people found it?

Thanks in advance!

i took a 10 month old to Tenerife a coupe of years ago. I had bottles of formula to feed during take off and landing to help with the ear popping.
The flight times considered with her nap times. I did pack stacking cups, a few toy cars and books though. (stacking cups are good as they turn into mini buckets at the beach or in the pool).

When there i didnt really need that many toys, mainly books. The kids pool/ exploring the hotel etc was stimulation enough. Did take one of these: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPEEDO-BABY-SWIM-SEAT-INFLATABLE-0-2-YEARS-OLD-FLOAT-CHAIR-SWIMMING-POOL-/121934748754

I will say when you get to your hotel room, check the furniture can tip over (if your little one is at that pulling themselves up stage). Also have the staff remove anything you deem unsafe, i.e. a giant glass vase...!!

Food wise, we have a good all inclusive buffet with plenty of fruit she could suck on an eat- baby led weaning was pretty easy. I did take pouches too (heat them up in bowls of boiled water).

Good Luck!

Where are you going? We had stacking cups/shape sorter in one which packed inside itself - good for water, sand, snow play. Inflatable ball? Just mash whatever is offered and plain, breadsticks and crackers.

We are going to Greece. 😁

I have one of those inflatable seats (if its warm enough for swimming) and I'm going to get some stacking cups thanks!

Such a good idea about the furniture etc in the room, he is pulling up on absolutely everything Hmm

In regards to the buffet would it be rude to put some fruit etc in pots for later snacks if hotel meal times don't match with when my baby is hungry?

Not rude at all re: taking some fruit for later, I did that too.

What about any other food in a tupperware? Grin just thinking when dinner is a 7pm my baby will have already had dinner by then so if I got something for him at lunch to save for later that would be ideal.

yeh stick what ever you can in there.

What food package do yo u have? We stayed somewhere where we ate dinner around 6.30pm.

Good thing is at under 1 your LO will still be using formula or breast milk as their main source of nutrition. Also being on holiday they will likely slot into a temporarily new schedule, I think eating at 7 should be ok.

We are all inclusive. Not 100% sure on restaurant timings or anything.

He's breastfeeding still so I'm lucky I don't have to take bottles etc.

Because of the time difference dinner times should be fine - 7pm in Greece is 5pm in the U.K.! Just stay on U.K. timings.

I took my little one away at this age maybe slightly older. He was really into peas, so I just ordered him peas or carrots for whilst we ate. Mashed potatoes and white fish was another easy meal. Don't stress too much about food you'll get something for him. For the flight I fed him before take off and gave a Ella kitchen fruit pouch on the flight and some finger foods heinz biscotti or Ella kitchen puff things.

We kept baby on UK time when in Greece. Worked so well for us all! Have fun
