anyone recently rented from them? There seem to be two websites, one eu and one .com which looks very different and a bit confusing. Just wonder should I get used one from ebay and buy a new mattress from the eu one instead, I also was looking at coconut mattress not just the standart one.

Do you have space for a cot? The bed nest is really small and you won’t get much use out of it for probably the cost involved. We got an IKEA cot that you can take the side off, which cost £60, plus mattress for about £50. The cot itself lasted us a year (with each of our two) and the mattress got plenty of use for travel to visit families or for camping (we still use it now and our eldest is 7). Much better investment than a bed nest if you can spare another foot or two of floor space.

I bought a Bednest second hand for £60 and will buy a new mattress. Total cost will be less than rental and then there is resale value.

Make sure you are aware of the circumstances that lead to the death of the little girl in a bed nest. If the cot is used properly then there is no increased SIDS or accidental death risk, but you have to make sure any second hand cord have the instruction book with them and have had the adjustment to stop them being useable with the sides half down.
