Bottle fed and started on solids, going to mainland Spain.

Please help me with my packing list!

Anyone got any good life hacks for baby travel?

cold water sterilising tablets and bottles, plenty of wipes, nappies, reusable swim nappy to save room in case (and the planet) suncream, hat. You could order things like formula and nappies to be collected at the boots/superdrug in the airport to save room packing it all. We took some baby ready meals (dd was 11 months old) for the evening and then for breakfast and lunch she had finger food from the all inclusive buffet. Depending on if you are doing blw or purees. Remember to take bibs and/or muslins, weaning spoons. Clothes, blanket, a few little toys to keep then entertained on the flight. The best thing we got to take was a little battery powered fan that you could clip onto the pushchair, it was an absolute god send. If baby has a dummy take a few spares in case you loose them. Calpol in case of teething etc

Thank you! Would never have thought of a fan that's a great idea.

Cheap lie back buggy and cosy fleece for chilly evenings.

Pushchair with a uv cover. Nappies/swim nappies. Blankets/muslins. Plenty of vests. Take enough food for a couple of days, but the food over there in the shops is pretty similar.

When you get there, make sure you buy the water that's for baby bottles (has a baby bottle symbol on it!) as it contains less sodium. All stores stock it! Some even have a baby on the bottle. Comes in all different sizes- but buy the 5 litre if you can!

If you can buy 2 piece swimsuits, makes life a lot easier for changing nappies.

Parasol. Teething gel. Bring enough formula as you can generally only buy in the pharmacia for the uk brands and they're the same price.

Just bought a lie back /easy fold buggy yesterday with uv extendable good. Half price too, winner.

Didn't know about the water, thank you.
The formula we use comes in foil bags in the box so easy to pack once out of the box.

I've been home cooking her food but tried her with some Ella's kitchen this weekend - no issues - so I've bought 7 pouches which is plenty as she's only small (15lbs)

Also bought a sit in rubber ring but prob a bit ambitious on the pool temp. I have a one piece swim suit, I'll think about two piece. We're going in 3 weeks so not sure we'll actually get her in the pool, but good to be prepared.

Found the calpol sachets in boots, sooooo handy!

The place we're staying at provides a cot so I'm going to pack our own sheets for smell etc.

Think I'm nearly there. Looking forward to the break, and wine in the sunshine!

Sling for the airport.
There is no guarantee where the pushchair will get returned to you - it could well be the far corner of baggage reclaim.
Spare clothes for baby (x2) and you in hand lugage.
Calpol sachet in your hand lugage.

Don't take the formula out the box - if it explodes it'll go all over your clothes etc!

We went to spain when DS was 6 months and it was far easier than I imagined! We brought plenty of snacks and a bottle for the plane - go to the special assistance security queue at the airport and just make sure you have bottles separate from everything else. I also was able to take a flask of hot water through.

Large muslin was useful for naps and sun shade - it didnt cover the pram completely so still air flow but stopped sun shining on baby and could be used as a light blanket doubled up in the evening.

Plenty of sun cream, water with the baby symbol on it (most of the water over there is suitable we found) and ring your own food pouches, baby meals. The ones in shops generally have a bit of added sugar etc.

Bring some washing up liquid, bottle brush and I brought the sample of fairy washing liquid from a bounty pack to do any washing the baby generated.

I brought loads of swim nappies but turns out DS hated the water so was barely in it. Pool wasnt heated and was freezing!

Good shout re the sling, I have one of those wrap ones.

I'll double bag the formula!

I had wondered about hot water on the plane for making a bottle, but hopefully if her routine doesn't change too much she'll have a bottle at the airport and food on the plane. I'll check it out thank you.

A few bath toys and bath thermometer if you use that. All her creams.
We took the monitor too.
If you're flying you can get bags to protect buggy and car seat in the airplane hold
