Dry nights....any suggestions?

Hi, my 3 year old has (after a long battle!) mastered the toilet training in the day however she still relies on nappies in the night (and they are wet in the morning). With my older child he went straight out of nappies and was totally dry in the nights too so we didn't have a problem with him but I just wondered if anyone has any ideas that I can introduce to try and get my youngest out of nappies in the night? I don't want her getting upset if she wets the bed but she's showing no signs of being dry in the night yet. Thanks.

Still very young. IME night time dryiness isn't something you can train them to do. It justst happens when they are ready. Something to do with a hormone kicking in, normally between the ages of 18 months and 7 years.

Most GPs will not consider it an issue until 7yo.

My DD was day time dry from 24 months. She is 5 now and only recently consistently dry at night, not from want of trying on her part. She still has the odd relapse.

DD stopped waring pull ups - she had reusable Motherease Bedwetters - at 4yo and just had a couple of washable mats from Mothercare, that go on top of her sheet. She was dry 4 out of 7 nights on avaerage, which has got better with time.

Thanks. She's a girl....she'll do it in her own time no doubt!

I am sure she will. Most little girls won't be rushed into anything! lol
