13 months old and dried fruit: yes or no?

I feel the dumbest mum ever to ask this question!
My little one is 14 months old and I have fun buying all the different food he can now eat. He eats literally everything we put in front of him and I just make sure it's healthy etc but most of all that it's in small pieces.
I cut his grapes and cherry tomatoes etc
However, I was just about to give him sultanas and froze! Can he have it? Is it too much of a chocking hazard? At what age have you introduced your little ones to raisins/sultanas?

My youngest loves raisins and has been eating them since 12 months

My DD is just about to turn 1 and I have no concerns about raisins or sultanas. She has them a couple of times a week.

I have to say I avoided dried fruit all the way through - it's full of sugar. I knew one wee girl who had fillings very young because she snacked on dried fruit, her mum thought it was better for her than sweets etc but it's so sticky.

That actually doesn't answer your question about chocking though, sorry!

But I also don't cut her stuff into small pieces (except obvious stuff like grapes). She has 8 teeth now and can do it herself!

Ahh brilliant, thanks mums! He'll have a handful tonight and we'll see how it goes:).
I am not planning on feeding him sultanas all day every day - I am aware of the sugar content but if he likes them it could be a nice treat once or twice a week. And easy to carry when we are out and about.

Humzingers are like baby crack. But impossible to choke on as they are so soft.

About 1 but DS only has them very occasionally as they are so sugary and stick on teeth for ages! The dentist makes a very particular point about dried fruit when we go.

Sultanas and raisins are fine once they have pincer grip, which is usually about 8-10 months :)

DS2 loves dried cranberries.
