Am I doing enough with my 6mo?

He goes to bed at 7 and has one night feed at 5. We usually wake up around 8, he will lie on his foam mat and do some rolling, tummy time, play with toys etc. I'll have my breakfast and sort the dogs out for half hour whilst he's in his jumperoo/walker. Then he'll have a bottle and some solids. After these he usually goes back on the foam mat for a little 15 min play and then he'll have a nap which is anywhere between 45mins-2hrs. When he wakes up then he'll have more playtime on the foam mat with his toys, I play with him there too. We'll usually then pop out, either to a play group, to the shops or just to walk the dog but he'll get Atleast an hour sometimes up to 3 of fresh air. When we get home he'll have a bottle and some solids for lunch, he'll usually then go in his jumperoo for a bit and then back on the foam play mat.
He has a selection of toys on the mat, and it's where he's doing all his rolling/crawling practice but my mum has said he's spending too much time a day just on the mat/in his jumperoo.
Does this sound right? It's a bit repetitive but at his age I'm not sure how much we can do. He sometimes gets a bit grizzly mid afternoon and if so he just sits in his chair for a bit and watches baby tv but this is only usually once, maybe twice a week.
Any advice would be great

Sounds absolutely fine to me, he'd let you know if he wasnt happy!

Sounds similar to our routine with our 6 month old twins. We try and take them to baby sensory on a Wed. We were also doing swimming lessons on a Sunday morning but the instructor is poorly and we are waiting for the lessons to start again.

Sounds fine. He’s 6 months old. He doesn’t need much except for interaction and time to explore things around him.

If he was bored he’d let you know.

Sounds very similar to my average day with 7 month old DD. Sounds like a good mix of activities, with some interaction from you and some time to play alone. I think it’s important that they learn to play by themselves without someone constantly entertaining them.
Be careful with length of time in the jumperoo. We also have a one but read somewhere to limit it to 20 minutes a day so she goes in there first thing while I have breakfast then doesn’t usually go back in for the rest of the day.

I think the 20 mins limit on the jumperoo is because it can be bad for their hips if spending too long in there.

It's fine, I did playgroups / baby sensory with DC1 from about 4 months and DC2 just had to tag along with whatever DC1 was doing but they don't really get anything out of it (apart from early exposure to alll the bugs) until they are about 1.

In hindsight I wish I had more lazy days at home with DC1 and just enjoyed them being a baby rather than putting myself under pressure to do 'stuff'.

Sounds fine, and he sleeps far better than my 12 month old, I’m jealous after our 4.30am start this morning Grin.

Sounds good to me, still pretty similar with my DS aged 10 months. He only goes in his jumperoo for 10 mins on a morning and 10 mins after lunch usually, we also go out for fresh air each day like you, and I try to take him to classes a few times a week. He swims on a sat with DH.
He has a physiotherapist because he was premature and quite behind physically and both she and his paediatrician say floor play - both interactive and independent - is really important for exploring, learning and developing muscles so playing on his mat is totally fine!!
