Chest infection

Just looking for some advice my little boy is 11 months old and has been a little bit chesty over the past week along side teething, his older brothers have all been the same at this age.

I rang 111 on Saturday as I was concerned it maybe was a chest infection but after a serious of questions I was put a wait for a dr to call back after 6 hours there was no call and the operative rang to apologise for the delay and that I could continue to wait or call back again I choose to call them back if needed them, as my little boy was well in him self just a little chesty no temp eating and drinking and happy in him self

So my little boy as woke for a feed now and has a temp of 37.4 I gave him calpol but he sounds as if his chesty is rattling now ? But he is still happy and toddling around.

I am wondering if I should take him to the walk in centre or wait for the gp in 4 hours ?

I’d say if he’s feeding and playing and generally seems well then he’s probably ok - they won’t class 37.4 as a fever either, think has to be over 38. If any of that changes though I’d 100% get him seen xx

my 17 month old had a chest infection just before christmas... she had a temp of 39.6, was sucking in her ribs and was coughing so much she kept being sick. She was really lethargic and couldnt even keep her eyes open. Just keep an eye on him because they can go downhill quite quickly which is what happened to us. hope he gets better soon xxx

Thank you both for your replies, I took him to the drs to be on the safe side Monday and he is ok, but like you say keep an eye on him and to bring him back if anything changes.
