To sell Bugaboo Fox and buy Babyzen Yoyo?

Wondering if anyone has any experience of either selling a Bugaboo or owning a Babyzen...

DD is 13mo now and walking competently. We mostly use the sling or she walks when we go out. We’re looking at buying a cheap and portable stroller for short journeys where we need a pram. We’ve found the Bugaboo Fox to require loads of room in the car boot and generally not sure what all the craze is about with them? She barely used the bassinet because of reflux so perhaps we didn’t use it to its full potential when she was younger?

We’re considering selling the Bugaboo and buying the Babyzen. We may have more children so like that we would be getting something that can be used for a newborn too. Or we could just buy a very cheap stroller and keep the bugaboo, as it is meant to be very good after all?!

Any thoughts?

If you plan to have a second I would keep the bugaboo for now as the second hand value of it won’t be much anyway.

I looked at the Yo-yo but it pushes terribly unless you are in a shopping centre with super smooth floors. I have a Baby Jogger City Mini GT and it’s great. Not overly small but folds easily and pushes so easily. You could buy a carry cot for it if you wanted to use it for a newborn too.

Totally reasonable to sell and buy something else if it doesn’t suit you. I don’t have any idea about the babyzen, but you could consider something like the babyjogger city mini gt - very popular, quite compact, good for a carrycot. We have the city elite version which is a bit bigger and I love. It has an excellent smooth push even one handed (and even at almost 6 years old!)

I guess in part it depends on what your feelings about when you might have a second are, and if you did whether you might want a double?

@Gruffalosandbuffalos that’s really useful to know about the Babyzen and not being very good on uneven ground. I think I’ll rule it out...as it’s got later in the day the thought of cleaning, advertising and posting (?!) the bugaboo has lost its appeal!

Great that you both recommend the Babyjogger. It’s a bit over what we were wanting to spend but now going to check eBay and gumtree. Thanks!

I have a bugaboo and love it because it easy to push on all surfaces, DD sleeps well in it and it has good storage underneath. I don't drive but when I have put it in a car it's a nightmare! So big and bulky, also a pain to take up and down.

My parents have a silver cross, it's brilliant! Not as good as the bugaboo to push but still very good. Folds up and down very easy, and fits into the boot well. It doesn't have a huge space to carry things under neath but I use one of those universal handle bags to keep bottles and little bits of stuff in. Also it reclines all the way back so dd sleeps well in it.

Hope that helps

Babyzens are really popular near me. They’re so small and nippy which is excellent but not good on rough ground and the dealbreaker for me was they’re not parent facing after 6 months. My 21 month old still parent faces in his bugaboo bee and chats away to me which I love.

Yes to Babyjogger Mini GT. it's a fantastic pram. One-handed fold and excellent on all terrain. And very reasonably priced compared to some much less practical prams!

Quite a few times when I've been out with ours, I've had someone comment on how they had it for their DC and loved it!

I love my Yo-yo and don’t have any issues with it on uneven ground

We love our Fox but we would never have chosen it if we had a car - it's really designed for people who use out about town but want to also go to the park and use it on uneven surfaces where it really comes into its own. If you use the car a lot I would say to sell it and get something that folds up much better although I have no clue what as we are not car people. It is my understanding that Bugaboos holds their value well and you should get about half if eat you paid for it back if it's not been damaged - that seems when selling to me especially if you do it collection only.

There is a Facebook page for Baby Jogger resale and you can usually get one at a fair price there. I paid £150 for mine second hand and it was excellent condition.
