My ds started solids at 6 months and previous to that took 5 x 8oz feeds a day.
This was our routine at 7 months
7 am - 7-8oz formula
8am - Porridge with pureed fruit
12 noon - 5 oz formula, then solids. Something with protein like chicken casserole, lentils etc. Then a pudding, like yoghurt.
4 pm - 5 oz formula, then solids. something carby like macaroni cheese, or shepherds pie.
7 pm - 7-8oz formula.
He dropped the 10.30 pm feed at about this age, just didin't want it any more.
I continued giving him some milk before solids, as once he'd eaten his solids, he wasn't interested in the milk. I didn't want him to cut back on the milk too much, so this was what I had to do to get him to take it.
He's a bit older now, 9 months, so I've just dropped the lunchtime milk and he has a beaker of water instead.
His teatime milk has been pulled forward to about 3 pm, with tea at 5.30 ish - to fit in with childminder.
