Struggling with DS at school

I wrote a post a while ago about my 5 yo DS being labelled the naughty kid at school. He has settled down with his behaviour but his school have concerns about him which include his fine motor skills, co-ordination and gross motor skills, social skills, concentration and impulsive behaviours. He tries his best at school and is never rude or aggressive - he just struggles to stay still etc. His teacher spoke to the SENCo (I don't think she actually saw him) who advised me to see my GP.

From then I feel like I am being fobbed off everywhere. The GP referred to community paeds who replied with a standardised letter saying they don't see children with behavioural problems until they are 7. They suggested speaking to our children's centre. I spoke to the children's centre who said as the school are the ones who have identified issues they should be looking into it. So I am back with the school.

I feel like I'm running in treacle - I am going to go back and speak to the school but don't known what I should be expecting them to do. The lady at the children's centre mentioned at EHA and said the school could do this. I am looking into private assessment for ADHD/autism but I don't want to do this if the school then won't accept any diagnosis made etc.

Any help or experience would be really appreciated. Sorry for the essay

There is an SEN board which maybe more helpful.
