stopping thumb sucking

my 11 week old seems determined to suck her fist/thumb can anyone help as to how to get her to stop have given her dummies but she still seems to want hand. any advice would be gladly welcomed

She won't hurt herself sucking her fist or thumb, and will be comforting herself by doing so. I wouldn't worry about it.

I would let her do it feeble. At least she can get it in herself. Babies lose dummies and you have to replace them for them.

My babies were partial to finger sucking at that age, Feeble, but it wasn't a habit that they kept. I can't remember last time either one (now 2 & 4yo) nibbled on fingers or thumbs. Babies just explore the world with their mouths... and one of the first things they can get to their mouths if their hands. Really don't think it means anything at all about future thumb sucking habits in your baby.

At 11 weeks I don't really think there's anything you could do that would stop her anyway! It's not a habit at that age (that will come later).

no i am now wondering if this is a lasting habit or not, but if it goes past the magical 3 month mark it may do!
