DD2 was 2 at the end of May & has been dry in the day for some time.We had got to the stage where we could comfortably take her out for the day & there would be no accidents. She rarely wet herself at pre school & is capable of asking to go to the loo.

However, the past week or so,she has started to regress & wets herself a dozen times a day.She knows where she should be weeing & pooing, but just seems happy to just wee/poo where she is.She laughs when we tell her that she shouldn't wee on the floor ect & doesn't seem bothered at all.

Any advice?

try not to react to it and get her to clean it up? Or if she really does like wearing pants put her back in nappies telling her "she's not ready for big girl pants", or reward chart for staying dry all day

which approach do you think will work best with her?

My dd1 also did this. It went on for 2 or 3 months then she got better again. I think it's very common. My ds1 also did it but has never really got better (have posted on another thread about him) and he's now 4! She's still very little - I wouldn't worry about it. I know it's annoying but it will pass. I think with both of mine it was a control thing (still is with ds) - they knew I couldn't stop them doing it.

I tried a few rewards/bribes which worked for a while then the novelty wore off. I think they have to decide to do it for themselves.

Thanks for the advice. We trained her using bribes of a chocolate drop for going on the potty or loo.We had gradually phased the treats out,so have started again to see if it makes any difference.

She makes me so cross when she laughs in my face after pooing or weeing where she shouldn't.Tonight it was a poo in the toybox when her potty was right next to her.

I hope it does pass.
