All the ones I see are for 3 months plus and he definitely has some little teeth with lots of drooling and fist chewing!

He's just 2 months old

We got a matchstick monkey which is easy for them to grab at 3 months and an Arthur avocado and Sophie giraffe which is easy to grip at 4 months.

Also a teething bracelet which is so helpful when you go out and forget a teether.
We got teeth at 12 weeks so he's got quite the teething collection since he's constantly gnawing.

I've heard of these gumee gloves for young babies but I never got one personally because he was able to hold on to the monkey.

Good luck! My face was used as a teether today so anything they can grab works 🤷🏻‍♀️

He's only 2 months though so would matchstick monkey work do you think? I'll have a look online.

There's every chance he's not actually teething. Most babies drool and find their fist and chew on it around this age!

I got a rubber(?) mitt for my 2-month-old from Amazon. He wasn't able to hold things yet so I needed something that would stay on his hand.

It worked fairly well but was slightly big so hard for him to get the end in his mouth. He nibbled on the side though.

MAM do a good one. Babies start producing more salvia at 2 months and discover their hands so it’s probably not teething.

@Whereland I can see them! :O also my cousin was actually one of those rare babies born with a tooth, so could be in the family.

So even if they say 3 months plus it's ok fo try? I'll look at the monkey- thanks

It is extremely rare for a baby to be teething at this age, drooling and nashing are developmental stage regardless of teeth, The only way for you to know for sure is if you see a gum split and a tooth emerging. Being born with a tooth is a completly different ball game. So often there is an assumption of teething which often means something else is missed, eg a fretful baby is ill

We had a gummee glove. Also you can wet a flannel and put it in the fridge or a muslin works too.

My baby was a super early teether so I feel your pain! Definitely as others said the matchstick monkey. I tried the gloves he pulled them off and the others didn't seem as good quality.
My little one absolutely loved the monkey and it saved us with his teething

Have you looked at comfort chews? They look just like little.comfort blankets but with the silicon chew bits. They are suitable from birth.

DennisSkinnersMolotov · 15/01/2020 19:38

Aldi have Nubi teething mits and bandana bibs with silicone tips that baby can chew at the moment. Astons & Parsons powders too. It's really hard when they're so young.

I feel your pain, DS2 is 16 weeks and has 2 teeth.

avacadooo · 15/01/2020 20:32

Believe me the monkey is the only thing that has kept me sane and it looks hilarious when they're chewing.

Early teething is genetic apparently! I had my son chewing his hands uncontrollably from 9 weeks then the first one appeared a couple weeks later, I was pretty surprised 😂
Just remember to start brushing it when it appears!

And don't give him normal teething bonjela it's only from 6 months 😫
