First jabs - baby not eating

I know this had probably been asked a million times but my DD is 8 weeks and had her jabs at 10am today. She's barely eaten since and has just slept. I've offered her boob whenever she wakes but she has only fed for a few minutes. Should I worry at this stage? She also won't take calpol - any tips??

I would keep trying with paracetamol- how have you tried? Do you know about blowing on the face causing a baby to swallow?

@2020BetterBeBetter I've tried giving just as is, then between breastfeeds but as she's not interested in eating she's just refusing and/or spitting it out! I didn't know about the blowing thing!!

Mine was the same and got temp with her jabs. Just have her calpol and after a couple of days she was back to normal. It was horrible seeing my dd so quiet and not really interested in her milk.

I’m not sure what you mean by just as is but I find giving it on a spoon easier than a syringe in young babies - you can just rub the spoon against the roof of their mouth so a tiny bit at a time goes in. Be prepared to allow up to five mins for it.

If it has just been today I wouldnt worry. The jabs seem to really affect some babies and make them feel really under the weather. Keep offering.
If she still isnt feeding tomorrow morning I would prpobably ontact the doctors.

She's very out of sorts so I'll monitor until the morning!

She's fed well since 6pm last night, she has a temperature of between 37.5 and 37.7 so I'm keeping an eye on that and just dressing her in a vest so she doesn't get too warm!

Use syringe in side of mouth and then it has to go in. Maybe see how it is overnight then call HV for advicr and reassurance

I wouldn't just keep her in a vest, she can be dressed as normal. 37.7 isn't a fever as such.
