Toddler table and chair?

Any recommendations for a good value toddler table and chair? Is it worth spending money on it?

would like to transition DS form high chair to it. He is 21 months.

we just had a pad like this which attached to our existing chairs, rather than a separate table and chair. it meant we could talk to them easily, help them cut up food etc

Good idea thanks! I'm not sure it would work with our chairs. They have leather base on them and might be too slippy. Plus they are a weird shape. We really didn't think ahead when buying them 🙈

What about a seat that clips around a regular chair so the DC can still sit at the table beside you? We used one like this -- first clipping in my DC and then not bothering to clip once he was a little bigger. He started climbing in and out himself and eventually switched to regular chair himself (around 2.5 years).

I really can’t recommend this highly enough. It can strap on to virtually any dining chair. It comes with its own tray which we found great for when DC we’re young and feeding themselves anything particularly messy. It meant the mess didn’t end up all over the table (like with a high chair). We often had the tray off and then they could eat at the table with us.

ours were leather too, slipperiness didn't seem to be a problem. could you post a picture of the shape of them?

There are rubber feet on the one I linked above. As well as straps for round the back and underneath the chair. Absolutely no chance of slipping. The chairs we had were also leather

We got these from Ikea so our 2 year old can sit with us at the table but be like a big kid.
They have other styles too

Thanks all. Actually have an ingenuity seat but keep it in grandparents house. Will try it first.

Ikea do a lovely table and chairs for 22 pound. I much prefer this to a booster. I put out a wanted on the baby Facebook groups and had 3 people offer me one for 10 pound in 5 minutes!
The benefit as opposed to a booster is that they can get up themselves when they are finished and there seems ime much less mess/throwing of food when he is done. It's also great for playdough and painting. My DS is 23 months so similar!

This is the table. Very easy to clean, also easy to snazz up with paint if you wanted to.

The Ikea Filsat table is great as you can put the Trofast boxes in for storage so it’s great for arts and crafts and then you can just put the top back on at dinner time instead of having to tidy everything away.

I do lots of sensory play with my little one using my table and put things like sand and water into it. Loads of ideas on Instagram and Pinterest if you search for Ikea sensory table ideas.

I prefer my kids to have meals at the table with the family, so a booster seat that just clips to a dining room chair is ideal. Ours has straps too, which is ideal as other my 2 year old takes one bite of dinner and then wonders off

However we do have one of those little tables too, and 4 chairs. And we do use it a lot so it’s definitely worth getting one. Perfect for crafts, snack time, having their little friends over and more. We also put ours in the garden in the summer
