Toddlers and drinks

A very quick question. My daughter goes to a nursery which has a no plastics rule and they give her drinks from a sturdy porcelain mug. I didn't think twice about it but my mother is horrified and wants me to say something.

Opinions?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What is she horrified about? Presumably they supervise the children in case of breakages?

MissRabbitNeedsAHoliday · 12/01/2020 10:41

Can I ask why she is horrified, i dont understand the issue?

Sounds fine to me

Also intrigued to know what the problem is?
Sounds a great idea.

Presumably she would prefer bone china? I can kind of see the issue, but porcelain really is sturdier for children. Maybe she could get a china set for use at her house where she can supervise appropriately?

bedroomcushions · 12/01/2020 10:46

Sorry should have said she thinks its a safety issue and they should have plastic cups.

They arent running around with the cups. They probably have a designated area for snacks and drinks

My daughter is 2 (nearly 3) and drinks out of a porcelain cup.. Dont see the issue that your mother has got? 🤷‍♀️ The children will be supervised so if there was to be any breaks the children wont be harmed.

Is your DM usually so dramatic OP?
