Baby bouncers

Hi Mums,

I've got a 3 month old who likes to be bounced around pretty much all the time. I've got a chair that vibrates but that isn't cutting it for him. He needs a decent vigorous bounce. He can't support his head properly yet so needs to be laid back. Can anyone recommend a chair that will do the bouncing for me as I fear my knees won't survive!

I recently switched from a bouncer to a baby swing because I was constantly 'helping' the bouncer! Maybe your lo would like a swing, I find it helpful at dinner time as my lo is happy swaying away while we have our hands free to eat!

That's interesting, thanks for responding, I hadn't looked at swings. Having my hands free to eat would be amazing! Which swing have you got?

Ingenuity convert me swing to seat, basically it locks in place so you can just have it as a vibrating seat. I don't think the vibration is as good as the bouncer but I rarely use it as a seat. You can set it to swing at different speeds and set it for 30/45/60mins. It also plays different music which is great for me as my lo loves white noise.

I bought mine secondhand on fb as I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something she might not like. Recommend that too! Threw the cover in the wash, wiped it down with antibac and we were good to go!

We had a swing and this was one of the best purchases made.

Babybjorn bounces when the baby moves himself, could that work?

Get a jumperoo....omg life saver and your lo will love it xxxx

Ooooo...hang on bit young but definitely get one when a touch older xxxx

Another vote for the Babybjorn bouncer. Especially if you can get one second hand from gumtree or somewhere as they are pricey but in my opinion, totally worth it. My 3 month old had the biggest smile when we first sat her in it, there are 3 positions and the most upright was brilliant for her and shes already strong enough to bounce herself in it as it moves with the lightest touch

Also recommend the baby bjorn chair. It responds to even the lightest of movements from baby to self bounce and out of sheer laziness, when sitting at the dining table eating it’s very easy to bounce with your foot!

Yep another vote for baby bjorn

Thanks all. I'll have a look at these. Really appreciate the recommendations x

Just to add a different angle. We bought an ingenuity swing at around that age for the same reason and he’s hardly used it really. The best thing we bought was a rocking chair which I’m sat in right now with baby nearly 6 months old having a cuddle and rocking. We are about to sell the swing but the chair is useful for night feeds etc as well !

Not saying don’t get one. But def do get second hand if you are going too and don’t waste £100 like I did ! The chair we got second hand for 35 and it’s the best thing to do we’ve bought.

I appreciate a rocking chair wouldn’t give you free hand time though but by the time my DS was 4 months he could sit in a bumbo type seat (we have a mammas and papas one) and at 5 months could go in his jumperoo. Which is why the swing became pointless !
