11 month old won't eat anything other than baby rice for over a week after vomiting bug

Last Thursday DD had 48 hours of vomiting and then started with diarrhoea. She couldn't keep anything down and was at the doctors on Monday who said to keep her hydrated. She then started drinking her formula and each day has seemed brighter in herself but still has diarrhoea.

Since Monday all she will eat is her baby porridge and baby rice. She won't touch anything else even the snacks she used to absolutely love. I'm wondering if it's usual to take this long for them to return to proper food and what I should do? Keep offering her favourites and she isn't interested at all. Won't even nibble toast.

Have you tried her on a fruit pouch? Personally I would want her checked out given her age (I have a 16 month old) just to make sure there isnt anything else going on. When DD had hand foot and mouth she didnt really eat for about 4 days but would drink bits of water and milk. On day she starting eating better and by day 7 was back to normal.

I have had tonsillitis for week and have noy eaten cos it hurts .
I was only thinking this what happen to little one that are good eaters .
They get a sore throat it hurts to eat . So they think Let forget about chewing. And just eat the easy stuff.
I would check for sore throat as that is the bug going round at moment.

She will eat a small amount of a fruit pouch but doesn't really want it. It's not her throat because she will eat porridge and baby rice but not purées so think it's her stomach.

I would call the doctor again but it's a weekend so have to wait until Monday unless it's urgent and she is bright enough in herself.
