I started to potty train my son (2.8) on tuesday ...

Tuesday - Cries because nappy is off refuses to wear underpants ...

Wednesday - Wears underpants happily as they are for 'big boys' - Wets himself most of the day - but pee's in pooty once as hes been siiting on it for 30 mins happily watching Nick jnr.

TODAY - Has worn underpants ALL day and has told me EVERYTIME that he has need a wee - and the last 2 time he has gone himself pulled down his pants and used the potty!!!

Am soooo proud

our daughter was fast aswell. She was just over 2 (girls are earlier) and we went to McDonalds (yuk!) and she said to us, "I want a wee mummy in the toilet" so I took her in and that was that, no potty, nothing well good!
Advice, we bought a fold up toilet seat, great invention, and now she is big enough to hold the seat (4 in November - can't believe it!) I found on the web throw away toilet seat covers. It is sometimes really difficult dangling her over a seat and not getting her wet, this way, she can sit on the seat and hold the sides (it covers the sides of the toilet aswell) and flushes away, great in public loos!!
Sorry, am I going on a bit???!!

Lol, not at all - its all very exciting! lol

I think the toilet scares him abit, and we've not tackled 'poops' yet, but so far so good!

Your daughter did fantastically!

Dont we have bright kids?

We were well chuffed and you should be boastin as it is such a great feeling, you feel like for once you are good at being a parent!!! ;)
One step at a time, it must be harder with boys as after he's mastered the potty and toilet he has to learn to stand up and aim (and I've yet to find a man who can aim and get a direct hit!!!!!!!!!!!)
