Hello everyone.
I need some help
I give my 2 week old daughter aptamil 1 formula using tommee tipee bottles. But I've noticed that there seems to be bubbles at the top when I make her milk. I've even used a spoon to mix the formula but this still happens. I don't shake the bottle harshly but I'm just wondering why this is happening. Does this harm my daughter? Will it make a difference if I buy the anti colic bottles?
I am a first time mum so I question absolutely everything Sad

I use anti colic bottles (Mam and Nuk) and still get the froth so don’t think they make any difference. My baby is 3 months so I don’t think it matters that it froths up

When you say bubbles... air bubbles?
Shake the bottles vigorously. Air bubbles won't harm, if baby is very windy you could wind after every oz. Also, I really recommend looking up paced feeding x

Yes I mean air bubbles sorry.
So it doesn't harm her?

We always swirled the formula rather than shake to form less bubbles, but DS was a reflux baby.

If your DD doesn't seem to be having any issues with wind, then the bubbles aren't an issue.

Oh im a real worrier and that never crossed my mind......2 formula fed babies never had an issue

When you tip the bottle to feed the bubbles go to the bottom so baby doesn't actually drink them (unless they finish the milk and are sucking air). Either way, won't harm them, having had a baby with reflux I try to swish the bottle rather than shake to reduce bubbles anyway

One or two small drops of infacol into the bottle takes the bubbles away straight away
