Two year review.. weight/height

Had our two year review today and my daughter is 2.5. All very good except I feel a bit concerned about her weight to height ratio. She’s just above the 50th centile for height (which surprises me as she’s taller than all the girls in her nursery class) but between 75th & 95th for weight.. 😬 The HV said she had no concerns & she looked healthy. But is it?! Should I be worried her weight is higher than average already? She’s always been what I’d call a solid child, she’s def not a petite like some of her friends. She’s still a tad chubby cheeked & bellied from the early toddler stage. She’s a pretty fussy eater and as such, I wouldn’t say she over eats as so much is rejected. And I rarely give her chocolate or cakes etc .. they are a special treat. She does eat lots of fruit as the only veg she’ll eat is peas.

I’m a really healthy person (when not pregnant with HG and living off potato) & I’m so keen to instil that into my daughter. I’m grateful I’ve never struggled with my weight, my parents instilled a lot of sensible eating habits into me! I just don’t want to fail her Sad

Somebody has to be above average on centile chart. That's how it works. Doesn't mean she is going to be overweight as an adult or you need to worry about 'instilling habits'

DS is one line above on weight than height on my rough measures but he wasn't even measured at our 2 year check.
