Gaviscon v carobel v reflux milk

Have been using gaviscon (one sachet per feed) for 24 hours and my little girl is in so much pain with trapped wind (so expecting the constipation to follow). She was such a good burper before and have sent my husband out for colic drops as she is barely burping at all. Fixing one thing to create another problem seems madness.
Her reflux appears quite mild, a bit of sickness (which has only been the last couple of weeks) and weight gain slow (dropping percentiles, I believe because she only has about 20-22oz in 24hrs but at 12wo maybe she hasn't 'found her line') but otherwise no obvious symptoms.
If all gaviscon does is thicken milk (once in the tummy), should we just change brand? Currently on HIPP organic but I believe that is notoriously 'thinner', so maybe a slightly 'thicker' milk may be just enough to stop the sick but not too much to bung her up? Or put carobel in the HIPP or by the HIPP anti-reflux?
Any thoughts?

Carobel worked for us, it doesn’t constipate ds like gaviscon did. He wouldn’t touch reflux milks before his cmpa was diagnosed, they might taste different/come out too thick for him. He only needs 1 scoop in an 8oz bottle, should be more.

We use HIPP anti reflux with our boy, it’s really thick so we’ve used size 3 teats (dr brown bottles) since starting, it changed our boy’s feeding (well that + omeprezole) for the better after trying all sorts of brands and bottles. Gaviscon is awful. He starting feeding really well once we changed.

Our boy has silent reflux though and has never been one for bringing milk all the way back up. Same principle though.

We used reflux aptamil and he was on reflux meds too. Gaviscom did nothing as he had severe reflux and milk.would just our back up if he was laid down. We felt that was better than carobel.

Gaviscon made my little girl miserable. Carobel worked much better for us.

My DS was a happy puker (in that he would excessively posset after feeds and when we laid him flat or reclined, but he was happy and content). I put him on aptamil anti reflux and saw an immediate improvement in that the amount of milk coming back up was significantly reduced. It's pretty much stopped now he's sitting up by himself but I've kept him on the milk cause I'm too scared to go back to the puking days!

Gaviscon effectively leaves a layer on top of the milk to stop the stomach acid rising up and causing pain and discomfort.

If the reflux is mild (which is normal for a 12wo) then I wouldn’t bother with medication or thickening the milk at all.

Carobel used here after gaviscon wasn't helpful, then identified CMPA also so used aptamil prescription milk due to CMPA. Took to around three months of age to get it right. Was torture to feed poor little thing 😕 hope you get sorted quickly!
