Double Buggy

Need some help, as am completely clueless.
My dd will be 15 months when new baby arrives (yes, I’m insane).
Like walking a bit. Do I need to buy a double buggy? Lady in a shop today said I could get away with a sling and single, but I’m doubting her advice.

Depends how much you are out and about and on napping. I had 22 mo th gap. Couldn't have been without double as DC1 still napped for at least 90 minutes and we were out all day every day. So needed somewhere for them to comfortably both sleep. Used it for a full year.

You definitely need a double buggy. I'd recommend a mountain buggy duet. They're Brill.

Yes to a double buggy!!! You will get years of use of it.

I have a nearly 3 year gap and I think I'd still have really struggled without a double! DS1 is not a reliable walker!

We have an out n about nipper double, it's brilliant!

We have a 17month age gap here, and I couldn't have done anything without my double buggy. DD was a good Walker but just having her strapped in meant everything was easier.

We have a bugaboo donkey and still use it 2 years later in single mode with a buggy board.

Great. Thanks very much everyone. Will buy one as it sounds like I need one then.

Yes, when the baby is crying and the toddler is tantruming, sometimes you just need to get out.

I have an 18 month gap and couldn’t have managed without a buggy. A year in and I still need it as ds1 is a bolter and doesn’t listen or follow me. Ds2 is a lump and my back is knackered so there’s no way I could manage a sling and a single. I also found it really hard to bend down and wrangle a tantrumming toddler into his pushchair while I had the baby attached to me.

I’d also consider how much you use the stroller now. I don’t drive so we walk everywhere and even if ds1 was more compliant I don’t think he’d manage all the walking without it.

If a side by side is a no go where you live a Phil and Teds is fab.

Thank u. I hadn’t really considered the factors like the older one trying to get away from me/ having to lift another child whilst one is in a sling. I think I was just a bit intimidated by the double buggies if I’m honest and trying to convince myself I didn’t need one
