Colicky baby

Any one have any suggestions to relieve colic? My DS is 9 weeks old and exclusively breastfed and every evening it's a battle with colic. He's crying in pain and very unsettled. I've tried infacol, colic drops and now using gripe water. Been giving him warm baths every evening to try and make him feel comfortable. Also placing a warm flannel on his belly, I wind him constantly.

Any suggestions?

Oh gosh I really feel for you..we went through this we DS2, it's horrible when you feel so helpless!

You name it I have tried it!!

Does he stop crying while in the bath?
Something that did help was a bath and then baby wind massage (go on YouTube and watch some videos how to do it).
Also 20 minutes after each feed I would do a little massage.

Does he be sick a lot after feeds?

@MyFavouriteTimeOfYear it is horrible when you feel helpless! I can see him in pain and I want to make it better for him. He does stop crying in the bath he loves his bath! So I let him have a nice soak and a swim.

I did try baby massage but I think he's quite ticklish and he's obviously too young to know how to handle it so he doesn't like it. But I will keep trying and will look on YouTube thank you! And he's not actually sick that much, he does get sick but it's not an everyday thing.

How long was it before your DS2 stopped suffering with colic?

Aww it's awful isn't, and its hard being so shattered yourself!!

We use to have the baby bath in the lounge, and I would bath him about five times a day! Just letting him relax in no pain for a while! With the massage they can be a bit ticklish, but certain moves like the bicycle movement with their legs really helped!

In the end our health visitor advised us to see our GP and prescribed Gaviscon for him, as apart from the bath and massage nothing else worked.
That did help and settled it a bit..
With us it did go on for about six months (I feel dreadful saying that to you!) but was much less with the Gaviscon!

Maybe book a doctors appointment?
It's will do no harm.. maybe see if they can suggest anything? Xx
