I was coming on here to post literally the exact same thing!

Mine (21 months) will eat pasta and bananas...and that's pretty much it at the moment.

My son would also live off pasta if he has a choice!
Breakfast is typically shreddies, weetabix or porridge with a banana. At the weekend I may do pancakes or a croissant.

Lunch - sandwich, omelette, jacket potato, with yoghurt, beans on toast, scrambled eggs and avacado on toast, soup with bread and butter.

Tea- pasta, roast dinner / traditional type meal, lasagne, fish fingers, sausage casserole, chicken curry, spaghetti and meatballs, fish pie.

Snacks / desserts: rice pudding, toast, fruit, dry cheerios (hes obsessed with cereal!)

I guess they're the go to options!

Mine are 4 and 5, my dd is very fussy and my ds just a bit fussy. They eat wraps a lot, sausage, mash & veg, pizza (sometimes homemade, sometimes not), jacket potatoes, fish fingers, pasta with various sauces, eggs/beans/cheese on toast, soup (tinned tomato only, the soup I make is clearly poisonous). I make them other stuff but that's mainly what they actually eat.

I make chicken casserole and freeze portions so we have it once a week. DS loves southern fried chicken so he has that once a week sometimes twice. I made a hotpot last week and that went down well. We have a roast dinner every sunday (that's chicken too). Basically everything is served with potato and broccoli and it's all incredibly repetitive so sometimes I cook 2 meals because I can't face having the same stuff again and again.

Today mine had;
Breakfast
DC1 Aged 6- eggy bread with cinnamon , chopped apple and a smoothie
DC2 Aged 4- porridge with honey, chopped apple and smoothie

Lunch (packed lunch for school)
DC1- salami in a wrap, 2 tuc crackers, A small handful of popcorn, blackberries, an orange, petite filous, carrot sticks, cucumber and baby tomatoes.
DC2- ham in a wrap, 2tuc crackers, popcorn, orange, petite filous, carrot, cucumber and yellow pepper because he doesn’t like tomatoes.

Dinner was chicken and vegetable stir fry with egg fried rice. They both ate it.

Mine are 6, 4 and 10 months. 4 year old is my fussiest, but has got better recently.
We tend to do a rotation of the following:

  • sausage, mash and veg
  • chicken fajitas
  • steak and chips (their favourite!)
  • sweet and sour chicken with rice
  • chicken korma with rice (yes they eat a lot of chicken)
  • roast dinner (they like all roast meat)
  • meatballs in tomato sauce with loads of hidden veg and pasta
  • chicken and leek pie
  • cod fillet, potato wedges and veg

They’re very into stodgy comfort foods.

21 month old here. Breakfast is a choice (usually dictated by me Wink ) of: porridge or weetabix with or without raisins, or fruit (banana/pear/grapes if they’ve all I’ve got in but try to avoid as very sugary), or yogurt. Doesn’t normally want yoghurt.

Lunch is only usually together on weekends because he’s in childcare during the week. Weekends will be eg brunch food (eggs, tomatoes, hash brown is offered but he doesn’t like it, toast, ham or smoked salmon which he adores), or sometimes we go out. Recently we went to a Japanese restaurant so he had a chicken skewer and some prawns, tried but rejected edamame beans, and merely observed the sushi. Enjoyed ice cream for dessert. We also enjoy sharing a baked Camembert at the local pub, he dips the bread himself and always eventually overdoes it on the accompanying chilli jam and complains about his poor tongue Grin

Dinner is usually either a pasta dish (tomato based usually, with chicken or sausage or a beef stew) or rice with an accompanying meat (chicken Kiev, breaded fish, chicken breast, a casserole or stew with lots of veggies). Often a side salad- lettuce which he recently started eating, sweetcorn (very popular!), tomatoes, and cucumber which he can take or leave. Peas have been a big hit lately.

Snacks include mini cheddars, very occasionally popcorn but not for a while now, fruit, toast with peanut butter (yum) or jam (he’s not so keen). Hope that’s all suitably inspiring...!

He's 3 and has not grown tired it! I'm just being relaxed about it because he's actually quite healthy and I can hide a lot of veggies in a pasta sauce

Consistent weekday meals include

● Roast chicken with vegetables
● With what's left of the chicken, one of:
• Coronation chicken on jacket spuds or roast sweet pots, with something green
• Chicken carbonara
• Chicken, chips, peas, sweet corn
• Chicken a la king and rice
● Spag bol double batch, blitzed...
• Half served with pasta. Other half the following day as...
• Keema curry and rice (bolognese, as above, with added curry powder, cumin and diced potatoes and carrots). Natural yoghurt added for younger ones. Sometimes serve with nann bread
• or left as bolognese and served with jacket spuds
● Roasted small gammon joint, served with fried egg and vegetables
● Slow roasted pork joint (6h on low in slow cooker) shredded and mixed with about 1/3 of a bottle of shop bought BBQ sauce. Served on cobs with salad.
● leftover bbq pulled pork with large mixed salad
● breaded white fish and vegetables
● sausage, mash, veg
● Moroccan lamb (lamb, sweet pot, carrots, red lentils, dried apricots)
● "beige food", chips and beans (ie chicken nuggets, fish fingers, that sort of thing)
● Omelette with whatever is in the fridge

Weekend meals are always the same:
● Saturday pizza night
● Sunday roast dinner

Generally I cook three joints of meat a week - served with veg and gravy. Then usually four from: a pasta meal, a rice meal, a stew/casserole, a jacket potato meal, a chips meal.

I should probably add, we are a family of six (DC 15, 14, 10, 5 plus me and DH). So I cook large amounts.
