Hi everyone, looking for some advice or a second opinion!
My first child was born by EMCS, which all went as good as it could under the circumstances. Feeding was one of the hardest parts - difficult positioning for feeding post C section, then a load of other complications like tongue tie, mastitis twice, thrush twice, etc etc. We got through it, but I'm apprehensive now expecting second child.
I will likely have another c section, and want to prep as much as I can for breastfeeding. Stocking up on the things that were essential last time in advance. A question though - I couldn't use a boppy pillow or any pillow to rest DC on for a good while as the wound was painful. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to get some kind of bed tray - with legs and a raised top. This could sit over my lap without touching the wound, and I could put my arms on to support baby while feeding.
Anyone done this / heard of it being done? What am I missing that makes this a bad idea?
Any other tips for feeding post c section gratefuly received. I tried the various holds last time (rugby ball etc) but weren't great because tongue tie meant latch was hard in 'non standard' positions
Thanks in advance
