Giving lo milk

Hi lovely mums. I wanted to ask a question about a dilemma I’m having. I’m one of those mums who worry about all the chemicals that could go into my toddlers body. I need to purchase organic whole milk for her to switch over too but I don’t know whether to go for plastic or glass bottles. I know there’s a lot of controversy about the dangers of chemicals from plastics but also the glass bottles have aluminium foil caps which also leach dangerous aluminium into milk. So what do you guys think is the safer option? What do you buy for you little ones? TIA xx

It wouldn't even enter my head as something to worry about tbh.

Have you been feeding formula up until now or breast milk?

OBone · 28/10/2019 12:53

Hi SoyDora, I have been breastfeeding exclusively up until now, but we both feel we are ready to move on as she’s almost 2.

Well, she must have been having more than just milk for two years...

What else does she eat?

00100001 · 28/10/2019 13:09

She's never had cheese or yoghurt?

dementedpixie · 28/10/2019 13:11

You know fine well she means her daughter has only had breastmilk and no other milks as a drink. Of course she eats other foods

00100001 · 28/10/2019 13:12

I am asking for a reason....

00100001 · 28/10/2019 13:13

Because.. let's assume her child has had yoghurt before from a plastic pot.

Why would there be a concern over the milk being in a plastic pot...

SoyDora · 28/10/2019 13:53

I was thinking along the same lines to be honest. Unless the child only eats organic, unwrapped meat and vegetables then I can’t see how she hasn’t been exposed to plastic before. Therefore I’d wonder why it is an issue for milk.

I dont even buy organic tbh. Is it not just the milkman that uses glass bottles too? I tend to buy filtered stuff as it lasts longer
