What to wear for court

Hi ladies

I'm going to family court next week over my eldest and her biological dad.

I'm not going to go into details as it's a very sensitive subject ..

We are going to court next week to get his parental rights stripped my solicitor said it's a hard case but we have a very good chance.

I'm just wondering what do I wear to something like this Confused I believe the way you present yourself is very important??

I just wore black trousers and a blouse. Smart but casual enough you don't feel like you are there in the Dock!
Good luck op. Court with an ex is stressful. Remember you are doing it for your dc and you will be more than fine.

Probably all very obvious but flats or low heels, knee length or below hemline if wear skirt/dress, fairly high neckline, fitted/tailored rather than stretchy clothing, quite muted colours, simple hairdo, minimal makeup.

Perhaps you could post a pic of what you're thinking of wearing (in hanger or shop pic if available) and posters could say yay or nay and give suggestions.

Also the aibu section would get the most traffic.

Forgot to say - opaque, solid tights if wearing skirt/dress.

Don't overthink it. Just try to look relatively smart and demure. I've been there 4 times myself so good luck. The experience probably won't be as bad as you're fearing but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
