19 month old son has over the past few months started shunning his Daddy (DH) in favour of me. It upsets DH and it upsets me to see. When it's just the 2 of them together for the day it's fine, but if it's a choice between the two of us, he will:
- forcibly try to wriggle out of DH's arms to get to me,
- run away from DH to find me,
- call my name over and over,
- refuse DH kisses and cuddles but happily give them to me.
-Ignore anything DH says or asks him to do.
I guess I just want to know if this is a 'normal' toddler thing? Will he grow out of it and when may this be?!
It's really upsetting me! In terms of our set up, im PT work, he's FT and DS only goes to nursery one day a week. We're pretty much level on who spend how much one on one time with him. I'm also due baby number 2 in March, so would love to know how we can move past this before Mummy has to be shared!
Thanks :)
