It's probably far too early but could my 2 month DD be teething?

She is 8 weeks on wednesday, and the past few days has been unusually whingy, is dribbling and blowing bubbles, and started to suck her hand a lot and feeding more often. I know it is very early but is there any chance she could be teething?

some babies do get a tooth at this age, however, I found with mine that this dribbling went on for absolutely ages before a tooth came.

They can teethe at any age as far as I know (some are even born with teeth), but could it be a growth spurt? I am trying to remember but I think around 10 weeks is a very common time for growth spurt...

Yes, the teeth start to form in the gums early on but they may not be exposed for months. My little ones both classic teething signs (red cheeks and dribbled alot) from around 8 weeks but DD1 didn't get a tooth until 6 months and DD2 has only just got hers at 8 months.

My DD started teething signs around 11 weeks but was a while before tooth cut.

I think I posted a similar question on here at the time

So it looks like we are in for this dribblyness and crankiness for a while! I just hope she lets up on the feeding!

yep my dd had fist tooth through at 10weeks, at 14mo she is waiting on 1 tooth for the full set!

My niece was born with two front teeth so yes it could be.
