Reusable Nappies and Wipes? Anyone tried these?

Hi Ladies
Anyone tried reusable nappies and Wipes?
My DD has sensitive skin and want to try something which is a little more natural for her little skin than something that's got a lot of chemicals in. I recently realised that Johnson baby wipes can get marks off the walls and carpet! This isnt right, our babies skin is so delicate and it says it all if you can get marks off of walls etc.
I would love to hear your feedback.

I've tried both. The cheeky wipes we use have been wonderful, much better than disposable wipes. We've had our set almost a year now and will never look back. Both DH and I love them and I'd highly recommend them.

Nappies have been a bit hit and miss, I've not found a type that doesnt leak so at the moment we're back in disposables. I'd recommend either a nappy library or getting a few different sorts to try to see what suits your LO.

I've had the same experience as loladisco, I love my cheeky wipes but I tried so hard with cloth nappies and couldn't make them work. There are more gentle, slightly more biodegradable disposables (not good, but less bad!) Like Beaming Baby (loved them) and NatyBaby, but they're more expensive than normal nappies.

Wipes are great. We have a set for hands and face, and a set for nappy changes (different colours). They are softer than disposables and we find they work better - disposables can be a bit smear-y IME.

We used bambino miosolo all in one reusable nappies part time. They were fine for the daytime but not absorbent enough at night. I think a lot of people struggle to find nappies which are suitable for night time. We just chose to use disposables overnight. We also used disposables for holidays and when she was with grandparents for the day. But I figured that even part time use would be better fit the environment and our pockets.

DD was potty trained early (21 months) and I'm sure that's partly down to understanding the wet feeling, rather than the instant absorption you get from disposables.

For wipes just buy two sets, one for bottoms, one for everywhere else - amazon sells bulk washcloths and flannels. For cloth nappies there's loads of systems but I used prefolds and wraps, you would need 2 packs (12 in a pack) of prefolds plus 4-5 wraps in each size, I washed twice a week (for 2 kids I would suggest 3 packs and twice as many wraps)

I cut up a fleece blanket into squares for wet wipes in a sandwich tub which was great and used tots bots in the day but kept to disposable nappies at night. I loved my tots bots!
