Help with my hair! 🙏

Hey girls,
So my hair is so curly, I hate it. I've straightened it religiously for 8 years everyday. Now I've decided it's time to get my hair back in better condition. I've been having it trimmed every 6-8 weeks. I've not touched the straighteners and just been putting it up. I need to condition it as it's very dry and damaged. Anyone have any amazing at home remedys, or ones brought?

i use this mask recipe (also have curly hair):

Egg, Mayonnaise, Olive Oil, and Honey Hair Mask
Ingredients:
1 egg
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon honey
Instructions:
Combine ingredients and blend. Apply in small sections to clean, damp hair. Cover hair with a shower cap for 30 to 60 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual.

i do this once or twice a week. i also use leave in conditioner (the john frieda dream curls one) and this shampoo is supposedly very good for dry hair, although i haven't tried it myself x

Or you could get KeraStraight- it will make it lovely and soft and easy to manage

I have had the kerastraight before and absolutely loved it. I will have it done again, but they do not recommend it if your breastfeeding. So once I've stopped that I will defiantly go for that again. Although my hairdresser told me it's bad for your hair and really drys it out etc.

I don't have a recipe, but it might be worth trying the Curly Girl method - it takes a bit of getting used to and working out what products are best for your hair, but it's basically about not using shampoo and 'co-washing' (washing with conditioner). The approved products don't have sulphites or sulphates in as they're known to make hair dry.

I have tried bits of it and have managed to get my hair looking ok, but I'm lazy and don't put as much effort in as I should!
