Using tots bots as motherease wraps were rubbing at legs
however they are wicking a little bit round legs and velco is rubbinng at waist.

Any ideas of another good wrap for terries? or where I can get tots bots nmaterial to make one.

NB tried bigger size tots wrap
She is 8 months and in medium size

starting to cost too much money trying out all different sorts.

Forgot to say now using the bigger size (2) tots wrap (PUL sort) Have tried tonight pulling it a bit tighter which is covering the legs better so perhaps no leaks. wait to see tomorrow if the velcro still rubs. Still glad of any suggestions.

How well does the Fleece tots wrap work/whats the advantages?

sorry, in a rush- fleece much better, IMO. Lets some of the wee evaporate so the nappy can hold more, IYSWIM. No good for sitting on for long periods, though, eg long car journeys, periods in pushchair, as wee can get forced through the fleece by the pressure of baby's weight. Fleece also a bit thicker at waist level, so velcro doesn't roll inwards and rub the tummy.

Hi Henrietta, I tried ME, Tots & Naturebabies. The latter two wicked. ME was definitely the best, however, I had to buy a couple of M/L size wraps when I moved to cloth (ds was 10mo) as the M were too tight and the L were too big! So glad they had the M/L size... Plus you don't have to have the popper the same on both sides, eg. each side of the waist was different, but I tried to keep the legs the same.

How much does your dd weigh and would you say her legs are quite chubby at the moment? (not meaning to be rude, it's just that from 8-11mo my ds was at his chubbiest!)

weighs about 9kg /20lbs she is tall and slim but quite chubby thighs. ME seemed to rub - even at night when she's not moving and I put them on a bit looser she seemed to have red marks in the morning. have moved up to size 2 tots bots wraps at the moment which is better but I really have to watch that the legs are well tucked in so it doesn't wick onto tights.

Thanks anyway

Have you asked on the UKP cloth nappy forum? They'll sort you out.

Hemrietta, re: redrap and tights- not a good idea! The tightness of the tights will cause it to wick, even if the legs are snug enough. Have you tried ringing Miranda at Twinkle Twinkle? She's full of good advice!

I use terries (pad-folded) on 9mo with Nature babies wraps from kittykins and have had no problems with wicking at all. They're PUL with cottony outer layer and lots of poppers for adjusting the fit. Cheap, too, and kittykins is v. efficient.

No downside, IMO.

I use Kushies wraps and they work well over terries. They only come in 2 sizes which keeps it all simple.
