Wondered if anyone else has had this. My son is 13 weeks tomorrow and he cries before he trumps during and after 😔. Is this normal? He really doesn't like it!
He's formula fed.

Maybe he just has bad gas giving him stomach pains, maybe try gripe water every now and then to help him pass wind if you're not doing so already. Our boy was really gassy we changed his bottles to MAM anti colic which did a world of good. If you're concerned take him to GP or soesk to tour health visitor x

@CourtneyB123 tried gripe water and we use Mam bottles :( they don't seem that worried but he really struggles and is in such pain with it x

Oh bless him I would take him to see GP just to be safe. Best of luck, hope he feels better soon poor boy!x

My little boy is exactly the same! It really seems to effect him in the mornings.

We use mam bottles, gripe water and nutramigen prescribed milk for CMPA. He's also just been prescribed gaviscon for reflux, I think the best thing to do to avoid bad has pains is to try and wind them a lot. My boy hates being winded on his night feed at 3am so his morning gas is bad

@CourtneyB123 think I will hun! X

@stephn88 Ethan has awful colic so his used to be in evening but can be anytime now. He had gaviscon but used to constipate him and his reflux is manageable now and doesn't seem to bother him as much as before. I just worry as he's 13 weeks and still has greens/brown poo. More green most of the time :/ he's winded good as we learnt great ways in hospital as he was constantly choking on mucus x

GP always, it could be painful wind, hopefully nothing too serious. Mine did this when he was tiny. He’d jump with fright and cry every time he trumped. He was just scared of the noise, he didn’t realise it was coming from himGrin.

Delilah7 · 20/09/2019 20:26

@Shimy don't get me wrong they can be awfully powerful so I would get that would hurt I'm just worrying I'm missing something. Or more to the point the doctors! He proper tenses before he trumps :( an osteopath did say he had a tight diaphragm I don't know if that would irritate too.

No point guessing with these things. It could be something so easily fixed, baby feels better and parents less stressed. I’d go to the nearest urgent care centre if it seems to be getting worse or you can’t wait.
