Sorry poo question - sweetcorn poo

So sorry to ask a pop question this early...

My 17-month old toddler loves sweetcorn, but not sure it loves her. Yesterday she had a corn on the cob and she's just done the biggest sweetcorn poo. The texture is very mushy (sorry) and there's lots of undigested bits of corn.

Is this normal for corn?? This has happened twice after giving her fresh corn on the cob now, but think she's always been ok after having tinned corn. Is that a thing?

Thanks all.

It's normal.

Have you yourself
Never eaten sweet corn? It doesn’t digest and goes straight threw you. Eat some yourself and you will see it’s normal.

Ha ha, this reminds me of the time I challenged my sister to only eat sweetcorn for a day to see what happens to her poo.

Unsurprisingly, she shat pure, undigested sweetcorn for two solid days. Its now a family legend.

Completely normal, that's the reason I don't eat sweet corn. My son is 41 now and I still remember the whole undigested sweet corn in his nappies. Nothing to worry about.

Oh gosh yes completely normal, my daughter has this too !!!

Thank you everyone.

widowodiw - this has never happened to me and I eat loads of corn! Nor to my family - we're all big corn fans.

I totally understand that the corns go through her, I was more wondering about the mushy texture and whether that's normal. But sounds like it probably is as well.

Of course sweetcorn digests! Its the skin that doesn't digest and it fills back up with poo so it looks whole and undigested.
