Help- baby has cold symptoms and red cheeks- what can it be?

Hi all, just a quick one before I take further action- my LO (just turned 1) woke up crying hysterically after his morning nap almost as if he was in lots of pain- all the usual things that calm him down didn't work. Throughout the day, I've noticed a runny nose (clear but yellow in colour when on tissue) and general irritability. As I've tried to get him ready for bed, I've notice flushed cheeks (he didn't even get these when initially teething so not sure what it could be) and a few small raised bumps on his cheeks and around his mouth. He's also struggling to feed. What can this be? Roseola/Slapped Cheek? Each time I put him down, he wakes up screaming because he's struggling to breathe as he normally would due to his blocked nose. I'm worried because I'm 20 weeks pregnant and am scared in case I'm putting the new baby at risk of whatever my 1 YO has. What should I do?

Slapped cheek, or could be hand, foot and mouth if blisters are elsewhere.

Thanks @LIZS but they're not blisters- photo attached. They're just raised red bumps.

And they're nowhere else- back, chest, etc. Just his cheeks/mouth. I'm hoping it's a simple cold and it'll get better however, I can't take any risks due to being pregnant so am going to ring the midwives at hospital and make an appointment to get baby checked over tomorrow.

When my baby had hand, foot and mouth they started as red spots then blistered later. Has he had a temperature? My little boy had a high temp the day before the rash started round his mouth

Yes he's had a slight temperature which I've been managing with calpol. I've got the window open now and the humidifier on to help his breathing. He's refusing a feed when I offer him my breast- is that a sore throat of the blocked nose? Hmmm, not sure how to make him anymore comfortable.

So sorry to hear your little one is unwell. My daughter had something similar.
Cheeks could be teething or sensitivity to the change in weather? Also, its coming into season for colds so multivitamins usually help keep the immune system up. Hope your LO feels better soon

It’s good that calpol is managing his temperature. It could just be a bit of a bad cold. Have you tried a calpol plug in? We found they’re good for congestion and smell great. Also we put a little bit of snuffle babe on his chest when he’s been blocked up.

Could be hand foot and mouth. Dd only had blisters on her cheeks and tongue. Has he got any mouth ulcers?

Could also be teething, a cold or a virus he’s picked up. Keep up with the calpol and if he’s still snuffly calpol do a great plug in that eases congestion.

Could definitely be hand foot and mouth. My little boy wouldn't feed or eat, was very restless, high temp and spots on his mouth, hands and feet. One of the worst symptoms is the sore throat where the spots appear in the mouth. I had it a couple of weeks later and couldn't swallow for 3 days.

Has he just started at a nursery or childminding setting?
