Taking turns on swing?

Thinking of buying my DD a swing for her 4th birthday. Can only fit a single swing in the garden which is fine for now as DS is only a couple of months old but I'm future worrying about what's going to happen when he wants to go on a swing too and we only have one? We are thinking of buying a baby seat too but that means we will have to keep swapping them over each time which would surely be a pain. My DD would love a swing so I don't want to deprive her but keep worrying am I setting myself up for loads of sibling arguments later down the line? Sorry if this seems silly, still new to this two parenting malarkey and feel so paranoid and anxious about being fair to them both!

I wouldn't worry and just get the one. I have found that if you have a certain thing at home , the novelty wears off quickly ( unless it is an electronic device )! They might argue over who has a turn just to wind each other up be really this can't happen until your DD is at least 6 by which time she may have outgrown the swing anyway.

In my last job there was a single swing frame between three children and they were really good at taking turns, it never caused any problems and they would work it out between them whose turn it was and how long they could have. They also had a baby swing seat for the youngest and it wasn't any hassle to swap them round, they just clipped on and off very easily.
I don't know what brand it was, but it was a wooden frame and the swings were wooden with ropes rather than chains.

Honestly don't get one!

They run in front of it, take up loads of space...

Actually my decision was made when a friend shared how she had to use a timer to get DC and visitors to take turns Shock

No swing.
Came home from work one day and ds was hanging by his neck after twisting the rope...
Dh hadn't noticed as the washing was hiding him.
Had to cut him down with a knife.
He still remembers from 8 years ago..
So do I
Park under 100 %supervision only for my dc now.
