Welly liners or welly socks?

Not sure which to get for my 19 month old.

I have bought wellies that have some growing room so perhaps the welly liners are the best option?

I have three small children and have no idea what welly socks and liners are. Surely normal socks will do? They do look quite cute though!

Teddybear45 · 09/09/2019 18:25

Both. The socks will help the wellies fit and the liners will keep water out

Welly socks, the liners get all bunched up and never sit properly.

I agree - liners are crap. I bought myself a pair and they’ve been used once. Good wellie socks much better IMO.

Just normal thick socks are fine (cheapies from Primark are just as good), the liners get soaked through when the kids splash in puddles and they make it more difficult for kids to put their own boots on.
If you need warm boots for colder temperatures rather than just to keep their feet dry in the rain, the neoprene wellies by Bogs are well worth the money.

I've bought some crocs wellies in a size too big in the vain hope that they last the whole winter. I'll get him some thick socks
