DS has chosen pink glasses...

I literally don't care that he's picked pink glasses (all five pairs of glasses he picked to try on were pink).

I really really do care about people making a "thing" of it. It bothers me. I don't want to have to defend him or justify his choice. I just know that some people will mention something.

I did draw the line at pink, sparkly sandals but only because we're going in to the wrong season AND I worried about what people would say

Anyone have any stock phrases/retorts?

Oh this makes me so sad. That just because of a child’s sex, certain colours are problematic.

My DS lives pink and purple and always chooses that. He is very much a boy. It has absolutely nothing to do with his sex or gender.

If anyone says anything I just say 'he loves pink!' and leave it at that.

Ps as a parent of a small boy in glasses, if he likes a pair and you think he will wear them then get them! Even if they are neon sparkly with feathers hanging off them, take the pair the child will wear!

I’m more interested in the comment ‘they’re in a cult’ 🤔

Liking pink does not in any way make your 2 year old a girl. He's still too young to be aware he is expected to like blue. Let him have he pink glasses 💁🏼‍♀️

I don't want people saying he's a girl until he says he's a girl.

What? Pink was the default male colour about 250 years ago. What colour you like does not affect your sex.

He's two. He will say he's a girl at some point, then he'll say he's a cat, then a rocket.. etc.

@Bookworm4 those words are from dh, not me. They're religious but not mainstream. It causes issues
