Colic

My 4 week old daughter seems to be suffering really badly with colic, I have been giving her infacol before each feed, but she is so restless and will not be put down. She just wants to either feed or be in my arms (breastfeeding exclusively) my husband has just gone back to work and it is absolutely exhausting. Does anyone else have any tips on what else I can do to help her?

Colic is unexplained crying. Does she cry when you hold her or is she settled then?

Google the 4th trimester, try some slings, cosleep and get a Netflix subscription and sit on the sofa and snuggle her. You will never regret cuddling your baby.

She will stop initially when she's picked up but then continue again. After feeds she falls asleep in my arms but screams as soon as you put her down. She's also became very fussy before latching on.

Thanks will have a look into 4th trimester and have a look at slings. Any Netflix recommendations would be appreciated!

Is she crying when being held and close to you, if so, its probably not colic she just wants to feel secure and close to you.

With colic, we found, there was absolutely nothing to stop the discomfort and crying.

We did use colief and dr brown bottles (with expressed milk) we were told by our Dr, its rare to get colic in BF babies but I do seem to come across many.

Do her symptoms match reflux? Is she better being held upright?

Thanks all, from looking into it more her symptoms are more like reflux.
