My son is 14 months old but for the last few months he's been banging his head on the side of his cot deliberately. He gets himself onto his knees and rocks back and forth, banging his head on the wood. This happens before naps (but not always) and occasionally in the night. We spent 1.5 hours moving him last night to stop him but he just kept going back again.
I've read about it and it seems nothing to worry about and is a soothing thing for getting back to sleep, but it's annoying hearing the constant banging and I worry he will hurt himself!
Has anyone had this with their child? Is there anything we can do to stop it or prevent him hurting himself?
