Trying to buy a new car seat for my 14 month old daughter as she has pretty much grown out of the infant seat. Looking for something that is rear facing until around 4 (lots of them seem to offer this) and can be used with and without an isofix. I want the isofix for our car but we often travel to Spain to visit family and want to take the seat part and use it in cars there. Can't seem to find one that meets this! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Try joining Facebook group car safety uk and looking in their pinned post.

Joie every stage fx i think does all of that

The Joie Stages/Every Stage FX only use the isofix in forward facing mode.

OP I'd just get a belt fitted one to be honest. Are you planning on moving it frequently? Belt fitted seats are equally as safe as isofix and once you're used to fitting them, it's really quick to move them.

If she's not predicted to be more than 18kg by the age of 4, I'd go for something like the Joie Stages. If she's taller or heavier than the 50th centile, I'd go for a 25kg rear facing seat like the Axkid Minikid or Joie Stages

The advice now is to rear face as long as possible. You can go up to age 6 and over if the weight of the child allows. You can get rear facing seats up to 25kg which is what I'd look for when DS outgrows his infant carrier, especially because he is 98th percentile so the 25kg may only take him to age 4 anyway.
