Question about baby naps - where and in what?

Hello,

I'm expecting a baby in November. For the first six months I'm planning that baby will sleep in our room in a moses basket, before moving to a cot in the nursery. But what about daytime naps? Does baby need to nap in the room I'm in for these? If so, would it be ok for them to sleep in a travel cot downstairs? I'm reluctant to buy another cot or moses basket if not needed.

Have you applied for a baby box we have our newborn in one now and it’s perfect for downstairs they are free if you collect or £10 with postage! You will just work out what is best for you though! 😊

Forgot to post the link if you’re interested :) www.lidl.co.uk/en/Baby-Box-16437.htm also I had all of these doubts until she was born 3days ago and you get so much support you work it out its definitely something you will get the hang of quickly 😊 I found the NHS classes to be really helpful as well 😊

I have her in a snuggle pod, a Moses basket, a side by side (next to me crib) and her actually big crib which she’s about to go into! It’s whey works for you. Although she fell asleep on me a lot and would wake if you moved her so you may not use the Moses basket 😂 but actually it was great till she started to roll over then that was out! Good luck! It’s different when they arrive! Do what is right for you!

We got a baby box and used that downstairs. You can get one for free and pay just for the postage, it comes with free samples of baby stuff in. It has a little mattress in it. Now baby has outgrown it I use it to store toys in.

I got mine from here, you have to do a short online course (it only takes an hour or so) in sleep safety which was actually quite useful!
