21 month old refusing milk

Hi,
My lo over the last week has decided she doesn’t want to drink morning or evening milk anymore.

Does anyone have any ideas for different cups to use as she has been using a bottle still but won’t drink milk from her straw cup.

Thanks

We used an "anywayupcup" it was the only one dd1 would use (with the valve) after I weaned her from breast milk. For weeks I had to add half a teaspoon of nesquik into it but I gradually reduced it until she drank cows milk though she stopped drinking it completely about 7 years old

If she has 2/3 portions of dairy foods e.g. milk in cereal, yoghurt, cheese, etc then she doesn't need as much milk to drink. Would she drink milk in a cup alongside a snack at the table/,in a high chair?

That's a lot of milk for a 21 month old. Do they eat dairy elsewhere (in cereal, cheese, yoghurt etc)?

My 17 month old has one small cup of milk some days (not every day). He drinks it from a Tommy tippee free flow.

She does have plenty of yogurts and cheese and will have milk with her cereals. She had always been more interested in food than milk.

Sounds like she's getting enough dairy then. I'd just drop the milk unless she asks for it. Forcing kids to drink milk is really only necessary if they aren't gaining weight.

My DS always has water on hand (just keep it topped up), if he wants milk it's "MILK MILK MILK MILK" and he drags me to the fridge. He's pretty good at self regulating.

Does it matter if she is having a balanced diet? It’s a bit of a myth that toddlers need ‘morning’ and ‘evening’ milk. Confused

She doesn’t need milk just 350mg of calcium a day. That’s 3 portions.

My daughter stopped her evening milk at about 18 months, just didn't want it any more. She loves her morning milk though. She's on soya milk so not sure if it feels less filling for her. I do find that she needs milk in evening if she's not eaten a lot that day or a bit unsettled. If you child is happy with their food then I wouldn't worry too much (my dd is 21 months now and has only just realised that food is nice)

My DC were breastfed until 18 months / 2 years. They never drank from a baby bottle. My DS enjoyed milk from a sippy cup at bedtime for a while then lost interested. My DD has never drunk cow's milk. At this age they can easily get all the calcium and other nutrients they need from food. There's no need to push milk on a 2 year old.
